Basically, the concern has been expressed that we’re just taking MP3 files, converting them into WAVs, and then selling them for $1.50.   This past weekend a friend and me made the 12+ hour drive from Louisville, KY to Live Oak, FL for the 3rd annual Bear Creek Music Festival. The festival was held in the amazing Spirit of Suwanee Music Park, which is actually designed to host music events with several permanent stages including one of the most enchanting amphitheaters around!   Fabric 49 technically hits the streets a month late because, goddamit, this is the most Halloween Fabric have ever got. Compiled and mixed by Magda (of Richie Hawtin's legendary Minus label) it's a spooky set of minimal, carved up with weird samples disorientating sounds. From the opening distorted clicks and buzzes of 'Git Cut Noise' it is a thoroughly opaque listen.   A very very very cool one ! Prior to launching the full album, Numb just released a single, “Boot Sector” that you can listen on their mySpace page. Okay first off, I just want to say that this was totally my idea.  Not really, but I’m sure all of us EDM lovers, after playing Rock Band or Guitar Hero, thought about making DJ version.  Well it’s finally here and I have to say, I want it more than I’ve ever wanted anything before… that includes my Easy Bake Oven that one year for Christmas. This is a lot easier than those other band games in that you don’t have to go on any world tours or worry about adding/losing fans; it just focuses on the music. (Novel idea right?)…
